Uzum is Uzbekistan's leading digital ecosystem, founded in 2022 in Tashkent by Djasur Djumaev. It combines Uzum Market (the country's largest e-commerce marketplace, launched in October 2022), Uzum Tezkor (express grocery delivery), Uzum Bank (digital bank), Uzum Nasiya (BNPL) and Uzum Business, alongside Kapitalbank. The ecosystem serves more than 20 million people, over half of Uzbekistan's population. GMV reached $250 million in the first half of 2025, up around 150% year on year, and net income for FY2024 was $150 million, up 50%. In March 2024 Uzum became Uzbekistan's first technology unicorn at a $1.16 billion post-money valuation. By March 2026 its valuation reference point stood at $2.3 billion pre-money. In September 2026 Fitch upgraded its rating to B+ with a stable outlook, and in July 2026 Uzum entered the CNBC and Statista ranking of the world's top fintech companies for the first time.
