Freedom Ticketon is Kazakhstan's largest online ticketing platform, selling tickets for cinema, theatre, concerts, sports and other events. The first online ticket purchase through the service took place on 26 April 2012. The company operates across four Central Asian countries: Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, with its head office in Almaty. It sold a million tickets over 2021, and more than a million in the first quarter of 2023 alone. In March 2023 ticketon.kz ranked third among CIS ticketing services by traffic, with 3.8 million visits. The team is over 120 people, and the company runs its own annual Ticketon Awards. Turnover grew around 140 times under Viktoria Torgunakova, who led the company from 2015 to 2025: from KZT 179 million in its first year to KZT 25 billion in 2024. Founder Alexey Li, one of the pioneers of online ticketing in Kazakhstan, now heads the Freedom Lifestyle business line; he also founded Aviata.kz. Freedom Holding Corp announced the acquisition in December 2021, alongside PayBox.money, and completed the purchase of 100% of the company in November 2022. Reported deal values range from $3 million (from the holding's own reporting) to $4 million. In March 2024 the company rebranded to Freedom Ticketon and is being integrated into the Freedom SuperApp. It reached profitability in 2024.
