Soup is an open-source (Apache-2.0), CLI-first toolkit for post-training large language models. It covers data checks, method selection, config generation, evaluation and save gating in one command-line tool and supports preference methods such as DPO, ORPO, SimPO and KTO, including on Apple Silicon. Its layer streaming mode (beta) loads the base model one decoder layer at a time, so 8B-parameter models can be fine-tuned on a 4 GB GPU. A desktop workbench, Soup Zero, is in development. Built by Alpamys Makazhan and Rafik Mamedov; the project is operated by MePlay, Inc. (Delaware).
