SmartGate VC is a pre-seed deep tech venture fund with hubs in Yerevan, Armenia and Glendale, California, operating since January 2018. Its first fund of about 3 million US dollars was supported by the EU Delegation to Armenia and GIZ. It is usually the first investor, with cheques of up to 100,000 US dollars, in physical AI, secure edge computing and neurotech, and runs the Hero House tech hub. Partners include Ashot Arzumanyan and Areg Alimian.
