Mineral Intelligence (MINTEL) is a Kazakhstan startup building a "digital geologist" for archival geological data. The system recognizes scanned archive documents, extracts data on wells, samples and lab studies, converts legacy coordinates to a modern system and places the objects on a digital map. The output is a prospectivity report for geologists, managers and investors planning exploration and drilling. The product is being tested on real license areas. Founded by Damir Kyzyr, an engineer with 14 years in subsoil use and geological exploration. Finalist of the fourth AI'preneurs stream at Astana Hub.
