About

Imkon Ventures is a pre-seed and seed stage venture firm backing founders across Central Asia, South East Asia and MENA. Launched in June 2025 with $5 million, announced at the Asian Development Bank SME Conference, it is described in local coverage as the first private venture fund in Uzbekistan. The anchor investor is UzVC, the state-backed fund of funds; Hasan VC is listed as a co-investor. The fund focuses on fintech, B2B SaaS, AI and deep tech, planning 25 to 30 investments over two years with cheques of $50,000 to $150,000 and follow-on capital for the strongest teams. Its founders expect the portfolio to create more than 1,000 skilled jobs by 2030, and position the fund as a bridge between Central Asia and the MENA region. Co-founders: Tohirjon Mirzajonov, Founder and General Partner, previously a VC at DTX in Doha, where he invested over $55 million across 35+ companies and managed a portfolio with more than $2 billion of AUM; and Muhammad Khalil, board and investment committee member, founder of Mohirdev and Startup Garage, which has backed over 400 startups across all 14 regions of Uzbekistan. Bobur Sidikov is a board member, adviser and LP, and a co-founder of Startup Garage. Abdumannof Tursunov is venture associate. The fund also runs Imkon Acceleration, a 12-week execution-focused programme for 20 to 40 startups per cohort. Rather than lectures, its team embeds inside portfolio companies across five functions: go-to-market, sales channel infrastructure, performance marketing, revenue optimisation and corporate rigour, including data room setup for institutional due diligence. The programme provides a co-working hub, funded ad experiments, software, legal and financial setup, and ends with an investor Demo Day. Cohort 2 opened applications until 25 October 2026, starts on 1 November 2026 and holds its Demo Day on 1 February 2027. Portfolio and programme companies include Karmon AI, Asaxiy Invest, AliPos, Avtomato, RentZor, Orif AI, Nikoh App, Darstop and Haysam School.
