HarborSite is a Harvard/Wyss Institute spinoff developing engineered recombinase enzymes to insert full-length therapeutic genes into safe sites in the genome, aiming at one-time treatments for genetic and age-related diseases. It is at research stage, with an initial focus on liver and blood cells. It is based in Boston, US, and is backed by Armenia-based SmartGate VC.
