About

The Eurasian Development Bank is a multilateral development bank founded in 2006 by Russia and Kazakhstan, with Armenia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus and Uzbekistan joining later. It is headquartered in Almaty and finances infrastructure, industry and the digital economy across its member states. In the technology sector it has moved into digital economy lending: in May 2026 it signed a $70 million loan agreement with Uzum, Uzbekistan's largest digital ecosystem, and in October 2026 raised that facility to $100 million.
