EnsiliTech develops stabilisation technology for biopharmaceutical developers and manufacturers. Its Ensilication process encloses temperature-sensitive biomolecules in a silica network to protect them against environmental degradation. The technology is designed for existing and new biological formulations, with the aim of reducing dependence on refrigerated storage and transport. Potential applications include therapeutic and diagnostic antibodies, vaccines, genetic material, probiotics and enzymes used in human health, animal health and laboratory research. The company works with partners to adapt the process to specific biological materials and formulations. Its stabilisation method does not rely on freeze-drying.
