Dolon is a cloud geological information system for the mining industry. It lets geologists upload, process and analyse exploration data straight from a browser, with no software installed on site. The platform covers the full cycle of a geological project: a unified database, 3D modelling, automatic wireframe generation, core logging, drilling operations, laboratory integration through LIMS, QA/QC checks and reporting. The company reports that linking analytics results takes 30 minutes instead of four to five working hours, that clients obtain geological data at least 14 times faster, and that exploration and extraction costs fall by up to 30%. Users include Kazakhmys Corporation, Vertex Gold Company and Resources Capital Group. Dolon is built by Dolon Systems, a resident of the High Technology Park of Kyrgyzstan, with offices in Bishkek and Almaty. The core team consists of specialists with more than ten years of experience in mining, 3D systems and resource and reserve estimation. In November 2022 Dolon raised $500,000 from MOST Ventures, the UMAY angel club and a group of Kazakh investors, after taking part in an acceleration programme MOST ran with Kyrgyz partners.
