Appkel develops digital commerce tools for neighborhood retailers in Bishkek. Its software helps shops build a Telegram-based storefront using a shared product catalog, receive structured customer orders and display a merchant payment QR code. The system captures a customer delivery location and calculates delivery charges by distance, while neighborhood messaging helps merchants communicate offers to local customers. Shops arrange their own delivery and receive customer payments directly rather than relying on a centralized grocery inventory. Appkel uses a subscription model for its merchant software and provides onboarding and educational support. The project previously offered a consumer grocery-delivery application.
