YPO visits Uzbekistan for the first time to launch the country's first local chapter

YPO, the Young Presidents' Organization, sent a delegation to Uzbekistan for the first time on September 23, 2026. The visit was organized by Yoshlar Ventures, an Uzbek venture fund, together with O6 PR, a London-based PR firm. It is the first step in an effort to create the first YPO Chapter in Uzbekistan.
YPO was founded in 1950 and is a network of company leaders. It has more than 38,000 members in over 150 countries. The companies they run generate about $9 trillion in revenue and employ more than 22 million people. YPO also works with Goldman Sachs and EY on research and market analysis for its members.
During the visit, the delegation met Uzbek business leaders and companies, including Bon!, UzOman and Uzcard Management Group. The group also visited Yoshlar Ventures, Enterprise Uzbekistan and ICT Week. Yoshlar Ventures manages $20 million and has invested about $1.6 million in 30 startups so far.
The next step is to launch a YPO Chapter in Uzbekistan. If created, it would connect local founders and executives who meet YPO's criteria to a global network of peers. Hikmat Abdurakhmanov, co-founder and CEO of TEAM University and a YPO member for three years, said the community goes beyond business and that a chapter in Central Asia would help the region's entrepreneurs join the global business community.
