United Ventures invests $40K in Occlum, a startup that masks company data before it reaches AI

United Ventures invests $40,000 in Occlum, a startup working on AI management. Occlum sits between employees and AI tools such as ChatGPT. It automatically masks confidential data before it reaches the model, then restores the original data when the answer comes back.
The data it hides includes financial figures, names, company names, and API keys. The platform is built so companies can prevent leaks of private data, let employees keep using AI, and keep full control and audit over how AI is used inside the company.
United Ventures is the fund behind the investment. The $40,000 is the full payment of a soft commitment that the Occlum team received at the United Ventures Startup Booster Demo Day.
Occlum gives companies a way to keep AI in daily work without opening up the data that sits behind it. United Ventures says it will keep backing projects in this area.
