From Computation to Realization — Lecture by Arek Keshishian
How are algorithms, AI, and computational systems reshaping the way we design and build?
In this lecture, multidisciplinary architect and designer Arek Keshishian will explore the intersection of architecture, technology, and digital fabrication — and how computational design bridges experimental concepts with real-world construction.
Drawing inspiration from pioneers such as Antoni Gaudí and Frei Otto, the session will trace the full journey from concept to realization through three built projects in Armenia:
• The Scenius Lounge (Katapult)
• The Rethink Pavilion (UNDP)
• The Levity Installation (Nerka)
Arek Keshishian is currently a Senior Design Architect at TUMO, where he focuses on advancing computational and geometric design within the local architectural ecosystem.
The lecture will be especially relevant for architects, designers, engineers, digital artists, and anyone interested in AI-driven creative technologies and computational design workflows.
