CompanyTilmoch is a quality translation tool for languages that Big Tech forgot.
About
Tilmoch AI, formerly Tahrirchi, is an Uzbekistan-based startup developing AI-powered language technologies specifically for Turkic languages. The company was founded by Mukhammadsaid Mamasaidov, a graduate of Inha University in Tashkent and a research scientist specializing in natural language processing (NLP). Mamasaidov initiated the project to address the shortcomings of traditional spell-checking libraries for agglutinative languages like Uzbek, employing finite-state transducers and later adapting advanced neural network models. The company provides a neural machine translation platform that offers high-quality, culturally aware translations, along with grammar and spelling correction services. Initially focused on Uzbek, the platform has expanded to support several languages, including Kazakh, Karakalpak, Russian, English, Turkish, and beta versions for Korean and Chinese. Tilmoch's technology is built on extensive corpora, including thousands of books, documents, and websites, to understand the nuances of each language. Its services are available through a web platform, and the company plans to integrate them into MS Word, Android & iOS apps, and browser extensions. A key feature is the "Polisher" which uses AI to edit and improve translations. Tilmoch operates on a freemium business model, offering basic translation services for free while providing premium features through a monthly subscription. These paid plans include higher character limits, increased file translations, larger glossaries, and AI-editing capabilities. The company also serves over 50 B2B clients through API services. As of September 2025, the platform had over 130,000 monthly active users and 16,000 daily active users. The company's vision is to integrate all major languages of Central Asia and the Caucasus by the end of 2025. The startup has achieved significant milestones, including winning $50,000 at the mGovAward in 2022 and $100,000 at the President TechAward in 2023. In September 2025, Tilmoch AI secured $150,000 in a funding round from venture funds AloqaVentures, Yoshlar Ventures, and IT Park Ventures, at a valuation of over $1.5 million.
