We are building an AI copilot app for cashiers at offline checkout, helping multi-location consumer chains control and improve scripts, upsells, and customer experience through real-time, per-employee metrics instead of manual supervision. On the frontline, a tablet “cashier app” listens to staff-side audio, pairs it with POS data, and in real time shows bonuses earned, upsell/script hints, and gamified leaderboards based on whether recommended items actually end up on the receipt, while also detecting negative interactions and potential fraud. Managers get a web dashboard with per-employee metrics on CX, script compliance, missed upsell opportunities, and fraud alerts, so they see what really happens at each checkout. In pilots, this has already driven a 5–16% uplift in revenue. Next step - we’re moving this copilot to small on-device ASR models inside POS terminals and AR glasses, so frontline staff get live prompts (what to suggest, which phrase to use, how to greet) and see their bonuses update instantly, without sending sensitive audio to the cloud. This edge-first setup also makes it easier to comply with privacy regulations and local data laws, while giving owners a “mission control” view of upsells and service quality across their entire network.
