Uzum raised over $130M at a $2.3B valuation

The Uzum ecosystem has closed a strategic investment round, raising more than $130M. Following the deal, the company’s valuation reached $2.3B.
The round included the sovereign investment fund of the Sultanate of Oman. Existing investors VR Capital, Tencent, and FinSight Ventures also participated.
The funds will be used to develop key areas of the ecosystem:
• e-commerce
• digital banking
• payment services
• expansion of technological infrastructure
Today, more than 20 million people in Uzbekistan use Uzum services every month.
The round highlights the growing interest of international investors in Uzbekistan as one of the fastest-growing digital markets in Central Asia.
