New IT hubs will appear in Uzbekistan with the support of the Asian Development Bank

General Director of IT Park Uzbekistan Abdulahad Kuchkarov held a meeting with the delegation of Asian Development Bank, which was headed by Acting Director of ADB Resident Mission in Uzbekistan Mirzo Iskandar Gulyamov. During the talks, the sides reviewed areas of cooperation and agreed to continue working on projects in the sphere of digitalization and entrepreneurship support.

Special attention was paid to the development of regional IT infrastructure. Plans include opening new IT hubs and campuses in Khorezm, Bukhara, Tashkent region, Andijan and Jizzak. These sites will become modern centers for IT companies and startups, providing office space, co-working spaces, classrooms and laboratories.

A separate point of discussion was the Enterprise Uzbekistan initiative aimed at forming an institutional and regulatory platform. It will include the launch of Tech Sandbox for testing FinTech and other solutions, the creation of an online portal for filing applications, as well as the introduction of digital justice services, dispute resolution and advisory support in the field of technology and law.

In addition, the parties discussed the formation of a national startup ecosystem and a digital platform to support entrepreneurs. IT Park Uzbekistan expressed readiness to work out concrete steps together with ADB and build on the successful experience of previously implemented projects.

Collaboration with ADB will allow IT Park Uzbekistan to expand its presence in the regions, strengthen the position of the national startup ecosystem and create conditions for the integration of Uzbek IT companies into the international market.
