This is a bridge round, the classic stage before a big Series A.
Through the MA7 Angels Club, more than 50 Central Asian investors have invested $3.1 million in bridge and another $600,000 in Series A. Higgsfield is a San Francisco-based company founded by Kazakh entrepreneur Erzat Dulat that creates next-generation generative video technology.
For the region, this deal has signaled that Central Asian business angels are not only backing global stories, but also entering the market with leading international investors.
An early investor in Higgsfield was Murat Abdrakhmanov more than a year ago - he backed the project at the idea stage. Today, that deal is showing more than 60 times growth on paper and has become a benchmark for venture capital risk in the region.
Higgsfield recently announced a $50 million Series A that included world-class venture funds. In five months, the platform has amassed more than 11 million users and more than 1.2 billion social media views.
