Kazakhstan will create an AI Ministry, a crypto reserve and an Investor Protection Committee

President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev has ordered the creation of a Ministry of Artificial Intelligence, which will be headed by a deputy prime minister-level leader. A Digital Asset Fund will also be created to form the country's strategic crypto reserve.

Tokayev also proposed renaming the Committee for the Return of Illegal Assets to the Committee for the Protection of Investors' Rights. The committee has already returned 850 billion tenge to the budget and will now focus on protecting the interests of bona fide investors, he said.
