Groq plans innovation hub in Kazakhstan

The Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of Kazakhstan has signed a memorandum of understanding with the US company Groq to strengthen cooperation in high-performance computing and artificial intelligence. The agreement provides for the deployment of Groq’s infrastructure in Kazakhstan, pilot projects at Alem.AI and Astana Hub, and the creation of next-generation cloud data centers. These facilities will support national and regional programs focused on AI and advanced computing.


Groq is also considering launching an official office or innovation center in Kazakhstan, possibly based at the International Center for Artificial Intelligence. The initiative aims to boost technology localization, knowledge exchange, and joint AI projects.
