From October 1, Uzbekistan will launch a "sandbox" for investment platforms

A regulatory sandbox for investment platforms will start operating in Uzbekistan on October 1, 2025. This is a temporary legal regime designed for one year, until October 1, 2026.

Platforms within the sandbox will be able to work under simplified rules. They will be allowed to place and buy securities, attract venture and unit financing, as well as contributions to limited partnerships.

Operators can only be resident legal entities included in a special register. They must comply with the requirements of the authorized body and keep a register of all contracts concluded on the platform.

The platform will be open to all entrepreneurs who want to attract investment. Potential investors will be able to select projects and participate in them as limited shareholders. Investment guarantees are provided.

The launch of the platform is expected to bring in up to $1 billion in investment per year.
